Family tradition relates that John's wife lived in Kentucky. Her son, Godfrey traveled to Kentucky to see her shortly before he died. She was 100-104 years old. If this is true, then she probably died in 1918-1922 in Kentucky. It could have possibly been in Madison County.

It has been reported that the name "ISAACS" was changed from "GOSHANSLIPER" when they immigrated to the U.S.
The spelling of the name, "ISAACS" has also been seen as "ISAAKS."
