JOHN ISAACS and ISABELLA MOORE are my husband's
Paternal 2nd Great-Grandparents.

Their son, GODFREY ISAACS, is my husband's Great-Grandfather.

JOHN ISAACS was born in 1812.

It's uncertain yet if he was born in Kentucky or if he immigrated from Germany.

His parents names are still unknown.

His wife, ISABELLA MOORE, was born in 1818 in Madison County, Kentucky.

There is a good possibility that John Isaacs may have immigrated to the U.S. from Germany but no records have been found yet.

The only known place as yet is that John and his family lived in Madison County, Kentucky where he owned his own farm.

John and Isabella were married on 3 March 1838
in Clay County, Kentucky.

John Isaacs may have been a Baptist but it is not certain.

No known information as yet.

There is no known information on John as yet.

Family tradition relates that John's wife lived in Kentucky.  Her son, Godfrey traveled to Kentucky to see her shortly before he died.  She was 100-104 years old.  If this is true, then she probably died in 1918-1922 in Kentucky.  It could have possibly been in Madison County.

It has been reported that the name "ISAACS" was changed from "GOSHANSLIPER" when they immigrated to the U.S.

The spelling of the name, "ISAACS" has also been seen as "ISAAKS."
