| Other Information |
Christian Tasset was a Merchant. At that time in The Netherlands, he was called "teuf." He did horse castration but was more of a Veterinarian. "Teuf" means he was a traveling man and most likely traveled from town to town to perform his business. It has been reported the Tassets owned a string of Inns to Paris. As a consequence of smuggling guns during the French Revolution, they had to flee to Germany. (Adapted by the Maas family - Westfalen, Germany).
There are records at the Cathedral in Antwerp, Belgium. The name was spelled "TASSE."
